A Personal Experience in Sunder Nagar
Beyond the natural beauty of Himachal Pradesh lies a slice of everyday life that reflects the simplicity and hospitality of its people. A colleague and I were on our way back from Kullu when we had to make an unplanned stop at Sunder Nagar Civil Hospital for the installation of a medical equipment.
We boarded a Punjab Roadways ordinary bus and alighted at Sunder Nagar, near the hospital. Before we could even seek help, my colleague Pritpal immediately noticed that his bag was left behind on the bus. The store-in-charge overheard our conversation and advised us not to lose hope, suggesting we quickly catch another bus to retrieve the bag.
With our luggage safely in hand, we thanked the driver and conductor. As we crossed the road to board another bus, the conductor of the previous bus called out, “Inse ticket mat lena” (Do not buy a ticket). Pritpal sighed in relief. This small incident in Sunder Nagar highlights the warmth and hospitality of the local residents, making our journey a memorable one despite the unexpected turn of events.
