Would the US Be Taken Over by Canada?
No, absolutely not. Have you not seen what the USA is like these days? Why would Canada want that?
Historical Context
We were once all British colonies, and in a way, the US was the older brother that left home first, while Canada remained. Now, we both like our older brother too and have helped each other when needed. But neither of us wants to live together in the same house again, and there is no good reason why we ever would try.
Current US Issues
Have you seen what's been happening down there? While I used to like Americans and still like a few individuals, the nation as a whole has exposed itself. They are not interested in freedom. What they have done to women is just unconscionable. Foul. Evil. The Right is exactly as far right as the 3rd Reich.
If you are not afraid of America, you are not paying attention. Seriously, they are dangerously unstable with the largest and most modern nuclear weapons on the planet. So, yeah, keep building that wall. Finish it. I am talking all the way around.
Canada's Position
We are a caring and welcoming nation, and that is the way we like it. We took Americans in when they had to flee illegal wars, and we actually did take in a few after Trump was 'elected'. We are not them, and we do not want to be.
No Canadians would ever want that. The USA has too many problems.
Conclusion
We are proud of our national identity and values, and they are vastly different from those of the USA. We believe in free trade, democratic principles, and a welcoming immigration policy. The thought of being taken over by the US is simply not a possibility for us.
Canada is a nation where people come first, and we put our values and principles before any external pressures or influences.
So, rest assured, we are happy as Canadians, and we have no plans to change our nation's course. We are proud to stand by our values and identity.
